Is there anyone in here who plays starcraft on-line? Or anyone who would like to play on-line? You can play with a 33k modem (and it works really well) so anyone can really play.

I play every now and then, but I've been away from playing it regularly for years so I'm pretty rusty. I used to be badass, but now I'm probably just average to below....

Well, those cheats don't work in multiplayer.

The last mp Starcraft I ever played... At a LAN Center... Me : Human A friend (and Ally): Protoss Computer (enemy): Either Human or Protoss, forgot them as I never actually saw them in combat lol Another friend (enemy, not allied to computer either): Zerg The Zerg guy managed 3 different bases with apparent easiness and then proceeded to attack both me, my friend and the computer at once, defeating us so bad that it was embaressing... He just used shortkeys to flip through his different bases, clicked a few times, launched an assault, built some more, etc... He just kept on going and well, I vowed to never play that freak again.

Sounds like a friend's friend I played once. He was an absolute terror with the Zerg. (I also play the Zerg.) In the first 2 minutes, he had attacked with 8 Zerglings or so, which succeeded in disrupting my mining operations, though inflicting little actual casualties or damage. I defeated them and set back to building a more stronger defense of zerglings + sunken colonies, expecting a second wave of zerglings and hydralisks.
To my surprise, the attack came at about 5 mins into the game, with a wave of 8 Mutalisks. I had a few hydralisks, but they were insufficient to beat off the ferocious attack, and they happily rampaged through my base while I struggled to build more defenses. As I was doing so, another 8 Mutalisks showed up, and I conceded defeat.
Round 2:
It was my and my (much better) brother who played the Protoss. We agreed to ally early in the game and try to defeat him before he could rush us. Both of us send out scouts to try and find his base. I found it first with a zergling, but got beaten by a sunken colony.
My brother sent a squad of 3 zealots and I 6 zerglings to try and hamper his actions in the first few critical minutes. Unfortunately, it turned out he tricked us. The base I found was a small mining outpost, and not his real base. We easily wiped it out, and then my brother started yelling for help because a flood of zerglings was attacking his relatively unguarded base. I sent most of my troops to help, but kept a few back in case it was merely a feint.
It WAS a feint, but my sunken colonies and a few hydralisks beat off the crack squad of hydralisks he had sent at me.
My brother and I then decided to go for air power, so we put our efforts into building scouts and mutalisks. My brother was less effective because our friend kept sending bombing raids by Overlords with small groups of zerglings.
I eventually got some Mutalisks up and sent about 6 to his base, but I got beaten off by spore colonies. I then noticed that he had a Defiler Mound up, and I warned my brother, but it was too late. Like fungal blooms, Plague burst out all over my brother's base, and weakened, a new wave of Overlords + zerglings swamped the Protoss and tore them apart.
Knowing helping my brother was futile at that point, I rushed all my troops to my friend's base and tried to raze it to the ground before he could regroup. It ALMOST worked, had his troops not pulled off once they destroyed the critical buildings and went back to defend his base. With my brother unable to rebuild his army, and I almost out of resources with a weakened, but still dangerous force of zerglings and hydralisks coming towards me, we conceded defeat.
We never tried playing him again.

If you're going to play Starcraft seriously, you need to get to know the zerg back to front, upside down, forwards and backwards and have a working knowledge of them into the 4th dimension as well. 8)
It really isn't worth being anything else, if you use them properly.
