LOL.. this subject just sort of came up now that security is much more strict at airports. I've heard they are hand checking all bags. Has anyone had any embarrasing encounters they want to share regarding items of interest in their luggage? I'm flying out to uh.. play parchesi with Nachtrafe next week(Kothiekins,I heard you cough! *thwacks Koth with a day old trout* yes, we're gonna watch nature shows and play parchesi.. LOL ) and was trying to think of a snappy comment if embarassed by security noting my..uh.. parchesi manuals or aids... you know the extra er.. dice and uh.. stuff.. *best innocent batting of lashes*. Oh and WELCOME TO THE TEMPORARY HALL and NEW RENO, EVERYONE!

I would be more concerned about the "feels like REAL skin" battery powered devices myself.....

If it's that embarrassing, why not just buy your parchesi set when you get there?

Bit off-topic first: The Singapore Armed Forces (which I'm currently affiliated with) has now started armed patrols at the airports. Yep. So you'll see guys dressed in green and carrying full automatic rifles (loaded!) walking in small groups around the place. (And no, I'm not with the Guards or Commandoes division, so you won't see me there. ) They're taking things pretty seriously, but so far there's only been false alarms. Now on to IAs more interesting section : I have had but one 'interesting' encounter at the airport before, and that was when I flew back from Sydney after a 5 day visit to a friend. She's a Dominatrix, and was a lot more experienced than I was. (I was only starting out at the time) Aside from giving me many pointers and *ahem* interesting hands-on experiences, she provided me with a home-made flogger (made from black suede) to take home. At the airport, the woman checking my luggage pulled it out and asked me, "What's this?" Expecting this, I had an answer ready, "Oh, a little souvenier I bought from an African trinkets shop." Obviously the woman had no clue for it was really for, because she just nodded and kept it back in the bag. The woman BEHIND me though gave me a knowing look. And I swear she was looking at me differently afterwards.

Zoras! Good to see you made it to the temp hall! Yikes.. well I suppose it's better that they take any terrorist threat seriously than to get caught unawares! LOL.. so I shouldn't worry.... at least my accessories will be completely recognizable.. ;D

If it was anyone but Natch she just might be....
Embarassing story coming:
I once dated this guy and things progress as they do over time. well our "collectioiin device" broke and I ended up with 4 DIFFERENT kinds of "fungal" infections!
Moral of the story: ALWAYS double your "Collection Devices"

I took three different trips over the last month...Vegas, Toronto and New York. Not once did I have my bags checked. I will say that it does take longer to get through security, but its not as bad anymore as it was a few weeks ago. They check your photo ID and your boarding pass before you go through security and then might give you a patdown if you set the metal detector off. I think they randomly search bags though, as a friend of mine had his searched...
