Character Name: Valindor
Player: Lemernis
Biography: Valindor is a cleric of the Knights of Khurin. He is a military man with a passion for military strategy. His clerical ethos is very similar to that of a standard paladin. (Koth advised me that the Knights of Khurin are akin to Klingons with brains.) Valindor is from Talimsbad, the largest city in Khurin. There are relatively few clerics in Khurin (eh, IIRC--is that right Koth?) so Valindor has been deployed at all three fronts of the Khurin siege. However most of his service has been on the eastern front fighting the undead. He is the son of a modestly successful merchant, comes from a large and loving family. He was totally supported by his family in becoming a cleric to aid the knights of Khurin. With this personal background, and as a cleric of a Good god of Honor, and serving as he has during a siege that attempts to divide and conquer Khurin’s forces, Valindor is highly conscious of the need to maintain party unity and cohesion—this sense of purpose as a priest, and the mission in which the party is presently engaged, are absolute and unshakeable. Valindor carries a masterwork composite longbow which was given to him by his soldier comrades for saving the life of a popular field commander in a key battle. He has considerable ability as an archer. As a cleric Valindor also has simple weapons proficiency with the heavy mace, his melee weapon of choice. He typically casts spells first, will then fire the bow, and melees last. If he is in trouble in melee he can cast Death Knell and Cause Fear. <br>
