If you had any clue as to what you were talking about then you would agree with me. I think I will start putting this phrase into every one of my posts ;-)

If you had any clue as to what you were talking about (the end results of what a direct election of the president would have on about 23 states) then you would agree with me. I *really* hope you are joking.

Tell me about it...
Can we safely say that GBJ wouldn't have been elected if the election was solely based on President?

I *think* he's saying that if we had gone by popular vote, we'd have a different president right now.

Oh! Thanks Sil! You know its funny, but I'm the one with the child, yet you can understand what Fearass is trying to say! LOL!!! Oh and Yes! You can see the wisdom of the founding fathers in the Electoral College system. Like I said before, in a Demo- cratic society you dont always win! But you have to admit, its a damn good thing that Al Gore wasn't in charge! Yikes! With people like Janet Reno as an advisor!?! **gulp**

But you have to admit, its a damn good thing that Al Gore wasn't in charge! Nope, I don't have too, and will not, EVER, admit that Gore would be doing a worse job right now than Bush the idiot. So there ;-)

I voted for Bush and I am glad to see him in office as I think he has been doing a very good job. Far better than Clinton IMO. Even if it wasn't Bush, as long as it wasn't another Democrat Adminstration. The last 8 years have hurt the nation....all those military cutbacks etc hurt us. I am glad a Republican is in office. But I think Bush was and is a fine candidate for office. Other than Reagan he is the best president this country has had since Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt. JFK might have made a great pres. but sadly it was cut short. Though I think JFK was the only Democrat pres worth being in office. But back to the subject I think Bush is doing fine.

I stand behind our administration in what they are doing now, but other than that...I do NOT support Bush. I would have voted for Gore, and I would MUCH rather have Clinton in there than Bush any day.
