Does anyone know if there are plans to build a national monument for the heroes aboard flight 93 on 9/11 who took down the highjacked plane near Somerset, PA? I think all probability they saved the Capitol building or the White House. We seem to have forgotten all about these folks. They are true heroes and they deserve a monument.

I agree, what they did was completely self-less and something I hope I never have the misfortune of being placed in...... their shoes. I watched a program covering the details (with the exception of flight recorder data), and these people meet and exceed the definition of what a hero is. Ironically one of the passengers could have landed that plane if it hadnt crashed into the ground. A trained pilot was on board. As I said above, from the flight recorder, which wasnt part of the program, they could probably tell if the terrorists crashed the plane when losing control or if it crashed during the struggle etc. Also, a makeshift memorial has already been made and I'd wager that a permenant one will dot the landscape in the near future.
