Where would i go for information on "good" hacking? i mean things like fiddling with your own comouter to learn how it works and stuff, not things like locking a persons keyboard so you can laugh. Know any good sites ? im betting if i type in hacking in a search engine i'll get a load of sites that contain trojans and program flooders and such thats not the type of hacking i mean nor want.

Do i display a malicious nature around here? no therefore it would be safe to think that if i were to become a hacker i would be fighting crackers or at least not doing evil. Also hackers arent malicious people use the word incorrectly for example someone who taps into the pentagon is not a hacker but "cracker" a hacker is someone who gets into systems perhaps but doesn't do damage or steal things. anyway my intent is to know the ins and outs and guts of a computer as iwish to become a computer proggramer now the only way i know how todo that is goto sites for hacking i don't wish tools i wish to knows ways of doing things on a computer. ;D To clarify it 1 last time im not a hacker and i doubt i'll evolve into one but i just wish to know how they do it. nor will i use the information for illegal use.

Thats the defination I use as well However no matter what defination you use hacking is still illegal. I think I have some links bookmarked to what you need. I will look at it later today

Ars TechnicaNT FaqBoth have some good articles about how you tweak your system. If you have win98 you can do a little tweaking by typing "msconfig" in start -> run NT Faq is for you if you run NT, win2000 or XP. Ars Technica is more about the explanation behind, lots of good reading [glow=red,2,300]Warning: All tweaks you do is done at your own risk and may cause software or in extreme cases your windows not to work. Um thanx for the tip but i kinda want how to get around my system or er a bad persons system ill chekc your sites out they ah yes info: cracker n. - One who breaks security on a system. Coined ca. 1985 by hackers in defense against journalistic misuse of hacker. While it is expected that any real hacker will have done some playful cracking and knows many of the basic techniques, anyone past larval stage is expected to have outgrown the desire to do so except for immediate, benign, practical reasons (for example, if it's necessary to get around some security in order to get some work done). hacker n. - A person who enjoys exploring the details of programmable systems and how to stretch their capabilities, as opposed to most users, who prefer to learn only the minimum necessary. i am a hacker!

Uhm take a good deal of math and programming lessons If you wish to know how to get access to other peoples computers then forgot, it wont be tolerated here. If you just wish to know more of your computer by learning a programming language or two then thats just fine

c++ is expensive, powerful and hard to learn.
Try out with delphi or perl instead (what this forum software is based on)

the most powerful and most common is C++ I think.
But the most ( and more than C++ ) powerful language is C.

If you are new to programming, I would start with Visual Basic. It is easier than most other languages. And for the "hacking" sites, well, good ones are: www.blackcode.comwww.tlsecurity.net

VB might be the most easy to use, but it´s much much less powerful! Now people, don´t turn this thread into a great hackthread. MH won´t have anything to do with this. Thanks for understanding! 8) -Daxziz
